Love makes clay.

He lived alone. He was a minimalist - one glass, one spoon, one plate. No family to make for, but he had the hands, the eye, and all the love. So he made anyway, for the families he imagined and for the tables he would never sit at.

He had that rare unteachable eye. The one that could hold a piece of clay and know immediately whether it had been made with love or without it. One evening he sat down to eat and looked at the empty chairs. Without fully understanding why, he got up and set the rest of the table anyway. A second plate, a cup, a small bowl... From that night forward, he lived differently. Plates for a wife who would ask about his day, cups for children who would laugh too loud… He poured into each piece the love he had saved for a family that never came.

The thought then arrived: Yes he did not have a family, but someone did. Somewhere a woman was cooking for people she loved. Somewhere children were at a table. He didn't need a family to make something for families. So he made. That is Arqeris. Every piece carries that evening in it, the set table, the empty chairs, the decision to fill them anyway. Deep lapis cobalt, raw terracotta, parchment cream. The wordmark stamped into the unglazed base of every piece, visible only when you turn it over. A maker's mark, beautiful one. The quiet confirmation that what you are holding was made with love by someone who had nowhere else to put it.
